The naturalization of the stressed out marketer who slipped into this realm uninvited, undocumented and unknowing ~ only to discover that there are riches to be discovered!
ok... so you don't get rich over night and it takes a couple of years to learn enough to even begin to know what you are doing ~ much less time to realize you don't know an inth of what you wish you knew about the internet and building websites and getting traffic etc...
So, how did this transformation come about?
~ as my pappy use to say "Here's the gist of it" ~
*** I had a few more (7) free sign ups today at one of my programs and I'm elated!*** I'm working at what has become a craft.
*** I had 39 usd come into my PayPal account this month! (very unexpectedly!)
*** Garnet Nagy posted to my discussion at ShakeYourMoneyMaker!
*** I actually work with one of my upline sponsors
*** (((I'm helping my downline )))
*** I have an online persona!
*** One of the Best ways to earn is to Promote Adlandpro as well as your key business, a secondary business, maybe even a tertiary eBiz then your TE or advert sites, get a ning site going...
and when you finally catch your breath...You are a natural marketer!
Too bad marketer isn't two syllables then you could hum natural marketer along to Natural Woman ...Wait, wait ~ you can ...Carol King phrases it Wo-om-man sort of, doesn't she?
I truly believe that if you follow the 'do this and that as proscribed by those who know how to succeed' that you will get totally burned out on marketing eBiz(s) online... give up and consider yourself a failure.
That "don't want to be a failure do you? mentality" has irritated and annoyed me since the first time I saw all the emphasis on being a success, don't fail, do this, do that... Evil Internet Marketing Gurus playing on the fears of hungry (literally), broke, hard-working people who managed to scrape up enough money to buy a computer.
I actually heard a recorded call about how to persuade your downline to upgrade to pro and they said...just take it out of the grocery budget!
WHAT? I hung up at that point and of course deleted my affiliation immediately...needless to say...and I still rarely attend calls for learning how to market. But then, I'm not exactly known for following lesson plans, step one, step two... where's the step that will help me?
That's what I noticed when I first began this Leap O Faith called online marketing! So who is it that sang, I had to be me? Daring to try to do it or die, I had to be me? Was that Sinatra?
....and now a word from our sponsors OrangeLeads

Hi Beth,
ReplyDeleteMarketing sure is a transformation that matures with learning and time. It would be simpler if I was told to look within and truly approach and treat people the way that I wanted to be treated right from the get go.
We have put Hugh amounts of time into meeting and befriending the best in the SEO business, Studied, created and tested stuff until we could say, Wow now I think we got it. Got me away from bugging people to join my stuff. Our site right now we are kind of letting word of mouth build it.
I love what you wrote, I do have to disagree with not listening to trainings. Although you must pick and choose, anything to do with a training for a particular business or venture is out, and for the most part carp that from my experience will get you in trouble. We have a group that we listen to that are not product specific.
I would highly recommend the 30 day challenge with Ed Dale.
I post on allot of blogs and would not have commented here if it was not your blog Beth.
Just so you know allowing people to link-back to their site is a major draw in the world of comments and back-linking. I don't spam my posts with links.
We actually require link-backs to participate in our Blog Co-Op. "re=nofollow" is not an issue it may not even work any more, still testing.

Hi Brad,
ReplyDeletethanks for taking the time to post such a nice comment. You are right. If I'd had better training or took the time to read more about how to do things I would have learned more earlier on. Thanks for the tip about the 30 day chanllenge with Ed Dale. I'll take a look
...again thanks... I'll check on the link back. I thought I had this set to allow for that.
regards,
Beth
